Only 1 week left.......

A couple night ago, we took a walk along the edge of the Island, yes I said the edge. We were walking with no railing to keep us from falling into the water. We made Clayton nervous because we would be walking along, and not realizing it but pushing him toward the edge, and he was pushing the stroller. Sorry Clayton! It was a beautiful walk though. Lots of lights and the weather was perfect. The kids really enjoyed the evening air also. It was very relaxing and a perfect way to end the day.

This is a boat that you can eat lunch or dinner on. Rebecca has told us that we are taking a lunch cruise, but we are not sure if the is the boat we will be on. It looked so cool at night.

Today, March 12th, we went to a pagoda. It was called Guangzhou Liurong Temple, and it was 9 or 10 floors high. It is an original building, and was built 800 years ago. While we were there the was many people "worshipping their god", it was very sad, to see them doing that knowing that they were worshipping a false god. Connie is going to post more on this subject. Well Connie and I went up to the 8th floor, and Clayton went all the way to the top. (Show off.... lol)

It was very scary to look down at the ground, don't they look little ants. :) This picture was not even from the top. The view from the top was not that spectacular, so we decided not to go any higher.

We did capture Connie and Kaeleb at highest point we went to, just can't tell it. It would make us a little woozy looking over the edge. Now we were to begin the journey down. YEAH :)

The doorways to go up and down were very low, and this shows how much Clayton had to bend down to get through the opening. Glad we are on solid ground.

This cute snapshot was taken today while shopping, look how happy we both are...... I think Kambry's element is shopping too. Dad start saving money, she may be really expensive. You know how much she loves shoes.
We decided that we would get a treat for lunch, after much hesitation about asking Rebecca, we finally did and she took us to McDonalds. This is Kambry caring it for us through the lobby of the hotel.
We got in settled down, and ate. Much to our surprise (because Connie said it was much better last time) it was not very good. It was very spicy, and they did not know what a Quaterpouder w/ cheese was. So I really don't know what it was that we were eating. Anyways, never thought I would crave McDonalds, but after that I really want a real Quaterpounder. Connie looks like she is enjoying it, but don't let her fool you.

The good news is the french fries were really close. Kambry look tells me "back off there mine". Not really because she was sharing with me.

After lunch Clayton and Connie took the kids for a little time around the pool. The weather apparently is going to change, we hope they are wrong. It is calling for colder temperature, and cloudy skies. So we welcomed the sun this afternoon. Everything is going really well, except that we are all getting homesick. We knew it would come sooner or later, I think it came sooner. We are missing our kids, families, and friends. Can't wait to see you all. I really want to thank Clayton and Connie for allowing me to come on this incredible journey. I appreciate how they have made me feel even more like family. Thanks again Clayton and Connie........ David, Ashley and Kaylee I will be seeing you all soon.

I like the sound of only 1 week left. I will be very "happy" to get you back home.

I enjoyed "skype-ing" the other night. What a treat! Thanks! It was a gift in itself to see you in person. But I have to admit...it was weird knowing you were in China and I was in Oklahoma....WOW...the miracle of electronics.

It looks like you are winding things down there. It truly is an experience that will stay with you forever. To experience other "cultures" makes us realize that it really is a great big world out there....but thru compassion and love (and great electonics)...we are making it smaller. Your biggest adjustment sounds like it was "food". Hmmm....I bet a "grilled cheese" or "mac & cheese" is sounding like "gourmet food" about now...teehee!

Well, enjoy the next couple of days...before you know it...your feet will be planted firmly on USA soil. Love all the pics and the blogs. Can't wait to give you a "BIG" bear hug to welcome you back home.

LOVE....XOOOXXXXOOXXOOXOXOXOXOXOOOOOXOXXXOOOOOXXXOOOOXOXOXOXOXOXOOOOXXXOOOOXOXOXOXOXOXOOOXOXOOXOXOXOXOXOXOOOOOXXXXXXXXX MOM
